Best Practices for a Seamless Resource Center and Website Content Experience

Illustration of content hub and content assets linked with two puzzle pieces

Do you have a resource center with content that lives separately from your website? Do existing customers have to dig for information in multiple places, getting lost along the way?

Don’t worry, there’s a better way!

Entice your website visitors to consume more of your marketing content by making it visible on all of your other web properties. “How do I do that?” you ask? Read along!

Content Doesn’t Need to Live in Silos

Think about your current website. Like most companies, you probably have pages dedicated to your various products and/or services. You likely also have related content assets, like blog articles, white papers, ebooks, videos, and more. Wouldn’t it be great if the two could live together, putting all the information your buyers need at their fingertips? They can!

Keep reading to learn how Uberflip supports integrating your resource center content with the rest of your website.

Embedded Content

Using Uberflip’s embedded content tools, it’s easy to seamlessly incorporate those product pages with those related content assets.

There are a couple of ways to do this:

Stream Embeds

By embedding contextual resource center content on a product page, you’re encouraging those visitors to keep reading about the product and, hopefully, nurture themselves further through your funnel. For example, if you have several articles, videos, and a case study that mention the benefits of Product A, it makes sense to promote these assets on Product A’s product page via a marketing stream that you’ve created. To do this in Uberflip, use the Website Tools > Embed Stream Tiles tool:

  1. Navigate to the Embed Stream Tiles tool

b) Select the stream you want to embed and other parameters

Tile Embeds

Similar to above, you can embed a single tile on any other web page or HTML document. A good place for this approach would be within a piece of content outside of your resource center, or in a newsletter that’s emailed out to your customer base.

Here’s how to embed individual Uberflip tiles:

  1. Within any stream, navigate to the tile you want to embed and select the Embed option from the lower-right of the tile

b) Select a size and copy/paste the provided code into the page’s HTML where you want to embed the tile

Site Engager

With Uberflip’s Site Engager feature, serve up personalized content that compels potential buyers to engage, self-nurture, and move faster through the buying journey.

Site Engager works in two different ways: suggested content in an overlay on a product page, and exit intent when a visitor moves toward closing the browser tab. The best part is, this feature also uses Uberflip’s AI capabilities to make the suggestions even smarter. You can opt to show these recommendations on specific pages (like the product info page), or throughout your website using a simple install script. Using the exit intent option, you get a second opportunity to serve up relevant content before your visitors navigate away from your website.

Using the configuration settings in Uberflip, you have full control over what stream is in the overlay, how many tiles to show, and if you want to include a CTA at the end.

Steps to implement Site Engager:

  1. In Uberflip, navigate to Website Tools > Site Engager

b) From the Embed Script tab, copy the script and add it to the HTML of the page(s) where you want to install Site Engager

c) Configure Rules and Templates to enable which stream you want Site Engager to fire on. For more in-depth details about Site Engager configuration, check out this article from our Help Portal.

Internal Linking

Another great way to integrate your resource center content with the rest of your website is by incorporating links in copy that reference each other when they live at the same root domain, like https://abccompany.com and https://abccompany/com/resources. According to Moz, a well-known SEO authority,

internal links are most useful for “establishing site architecture and spreading link equity.” Not only does this entice your visitors to explore more of your content, it is also beneficial to building your SEO authority.

For example, if you have a page on your website explaining the services you offer, and there’s also a recent case study in your resource center about one of these services, this is a great opportunity to lead that visitor to the next piece of content.

By using one or a combination of these methods, you’ll entice visitors to read more content and also find some (once) hidden gems!
